Well, this is really it! The end of the novel! I can hardly believe that it’s actually finished. I’ll probably do a little more polishing on it before I attempt to submit it for publication but the bulk of the work is past now. (If anyone has any tips or advice on dealing with the publishing process, I’d love to hear it!)
I’ve spent the last 9 days in a little sequestered writers retreat again, while I was housesitting; and it’s been awesome being able to relax and devote my time to the things that are important to me. Sometimes I think that I’d forgotten who I am, before I began writing again. I’ve just been mom for a really long time now and it’s been so nice to spend some time focusing again on things that I enjoy.
I went on long walks every morning-

And in between writing stints, when my eyes were beginning to cross, I worked on creating some beautiful things-

And I picked up yoga again. I’m now sore in places that I swear I didn’t even know I had, but I’m sure that once that wears off it’ll all be worth it. LOL
Anyway, I’ve enjoyed the writing experience, and especially this last stint on the final chapter. And I’m hoping that this is not the end of an era, but the beginning of something wonderful. I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the novel too, and to those who’ve taken the time to read it, I’m thankful. Perhaps we’ll have more experiences like this in the future. 🙂
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the novel yet you can find it here-
